Dr. Yo Han Ko DACM, L. Ac., Dipl. O.M., LMT, is a licensed and board-certified integrative acupuncturist, herbalist, and massage therapist serving the greater Denton area. Dr. Ko developed a passion for Eastern medicine from a young age, inspired by his acupuncturist grandfather, who traveled the Korean countryside.
As a dual-licensed acupuncturist and massage therapist, Dr. Ko is a practitioner of the traditional art of soogi (수기 [手氣]), a refined school of acupressure that combines acupuncture and massage therapy.
Dr. Ko practices rebalance acupuncture, which utilizes specific acupuncture points to achieve the body’s natural state of balance. Rebalance acupuncture prioritizes patient comfort by using the least number of needles needed to achieve results.
Dr. Ko’s commitment to his patient’s outcome is reflected in his comprehensive and holistic approach to preventative healthcare. Dr. Ko believes that the journey to better health should be a collaborative effort, guided by conversations rather than one-sided lectures.
Dr. Ko earned his Master’s degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from Texas Health and Science University and Doctorate in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine from Pacific College of Health and Science.
When he isn’t practicing, Dr. Ko enjoys nature, landscape photography, and spending time with his wife and two cats.
